Hello everyone,
Eamon, 22 years old. Iâve been watching Finary for quite a while and finally decided to join the community to deepen my knowledge and exchange with people who are also interested in investing.
Professional background: I work at a brokerage firm (Forex Broker).
My assets: approximately âŹ10,000, split between cash, crypto, and my bank account.
Investment strategy: invest for the long term and progressively build a diversified portfolio.
Goal: build a solid portfolio that can be preserved and grow over the long term.
Finary: discovered on YouTube.
To give you a bit more context, I currently earn around âŹ4,000 net per month. At 22, Iâm fortunate not to have rent or major grocery expenses. I have about âŹ400 in fixed monthly expenses, mainly for electricity, water, etc.
Iâm mainly here to get your opinions on how much I could reasonably invest each month, and especially on how you would allocate this budget.
Iâm quite comfortable with risk given my age and investment horizon. Obviously, the idea isnât to do anything reckless: I prefer taking calculated risks and avoiding mistakes that could cost me dearly.
Like Mounir, Iâm more of a « jack-of-all-trades. » I enjoy exploring different areas and have no problem with the idea of diversifying my portfolio. Iâm mainly looking to understand what Iâm doing before investing and to continue educating myself as much as possible.
My goal is to grow my assets as quickly as possible, but above all in a smart and sustainable way.
Last note, I donât live in France, so Iâm also open to the idea of diversifying my investments across different countries if that could be relevant.
Thanks a lot.
