PER withdrawal following end of unemployment benefits: voluntary or involuntary loss irrelevant for contracts signed after Sep 2019

I discovered that the « involuntary job loss » condition, sometimes required to unlock retirement savings (a topic discussed several times but without reaching a conclusion supported by references), does not normally apply to PERs (Plans d’Épargne Retraite) resulting from the Pacte law.

For these PERs, the law only requires:

« The expiration of the holder’s unemployment insurance rights » [legifrance.gouv.fr]

The Insurance Ombudsman is very clear: the Pacte law removed the notion of involuntary job loss for PERs, and the unlocking can occur at the end of unemployment rights, regardless of the cause of termination of the employment contract that opened these rights. [mediation-…urance.org]

This clarification seems important to me, as some institutions or documents still appear to apply the rules of old retirement contracts.
