Trump just visited China for the first time in 9 years

Big names in the delegation: Musk, Tim Cook, Jensen Huang. The tone was chill, Trump was praising Xi the whole time which… I personally wasn’t expecting

Nvidia jumped +4.39% in one day just from speculation that chip export restrictions might ease. Briefly became the world’s 2nd largest company by market cap.

On paper a lot was discussed (LNG, soybeans, Boeing orders). But no timelines, no enforcement. When Trump was asked about Taiwan, he responded «China is beautiful»

Curious if this changes anything for those of you with a heavy US allocation or are you staying the course?

nothing to be discussed in my opinion… as it is very well expressed here:

Markets are currently driven much more by wishful thinking (and backstage movements) than facts and their analysis. But facts will eventually catch-up as history taught us

Pourquoi en anglais ?

Je pense que finary vas aussi sur le marché anglais c’est pour ca

Hello @Mariya_Finary

In these political sequences, the initial signal and the immediate reaction are rarely as interesting as the chain of events and decisions they ultimately create.

Markets often react instantly to diplomatic tone, headlines or symbolic gestures. But I’m almost never convinced the first market reaction is the real story.

Very often, political moves feel more like probes. They trigger a reaction, observe responses across markets, media, industries and public opinion, then use that information to determine which actions become politically or economically possible afterward.

In that sense, market reactions are not only consequences. They also become strategic feedback mechanisms.

So if I had to sum up my answer to your question, I’d say: “Yes. I’m staying the course.”

Oui le public anglophone est aussi visé :slightly_smiling_face:

Bonjour,

Tout simplement parce que Mariya ne parle pas français !

Néanmoins, je comprends qu’une traduction française serait idéale. C’est normalement faisable sur Discourse, je suis sur le sujet et vais essayer de l’implémenter bientôt !
