Do you know why NEAR has experienced a strong surge in recent days?
I’ve been staking it for years on my Ledger, so pretty cool
But do you have any recommendations for what’s next?

It’s a giant casino, there have to be some gains sometimes to entice you and make you lose even more, a little later on…
Bitwise’s upcoming NEAR spot ETF must have something to do with it…
Pure speculation and short squeeze. The only utility of Near is Near intents, which is good and practical, but it’s still nothing to write home about.
Oh really? You think the project isn’t useful?
I occasionally use Near intents to create bridges between blockchains, but it’s not necessarily the most interesting path compared to Chainlink’s CCIP or other players.
I know they want to develop AI agents that manage transactions automatically, but I think the competition is too tough against Solana or Ethereum.
Ok, interesting. I need to look into that, I don’t know enough about it. I also had some LINK. For AI, I bet on a stack on Bittensor, but I don’t think it’s the same narrative as NEAR.
Near is more about abstraction between blockchains; basically, Near seeks to simplify connections and integrations between blockchains.
Bittensor is a decentralized AI development engine that operates in a meritocratic manner.
Chainlink, well, it’s the most well-known and important oracle in the entire crypto ecosystem. Chainlink truly brings value to the blockchain and connects it to traditional finance systems. The token’s performance isn’t amazing, but at least the project is serious and its utility will never be questioned.
