Life Insurance interface reviews

Hello,

I opened a life insurance policy with Linxea, following the positive feedback from many forum members and the press in general, but…

It’s hell!!!

Initially, I was already complaining about the Boursorama experience, often lagging in display or reporting connection errors. I’m not even talking about the experience for children’s life insurance where everything has to be done on paper. A simple change requires sending back 4 pages of forms and copies of identity documents.

In short, I was determined to go through a more internet-friendly broker and I went to check out Linxea. It’s even worse. It’s an empty shell that constantly redirects to the insurer’s website, which is outdated.

So I’m disappointed and realize that Boursorama’s integration with Generali is actually quite advanced compared to the rest.

It’s very difficult to find even a single screenshot of a management interface.
Would you have any recommendations, opinions, or screenshots to share?

Hello,
if you just opened it, that’s normal.
During the cooling-off period, you won’t see anything more.

Hello,

Personally, I don’t like the interface for everything related to arbitrage and setting up recurring withdrawals, but for viewing account status, Linxea is sufficient.

I do at most 1 transaction per year, so I’ve gotten used to the user interface. Multiplying actions doesn’t serve much purpose

this is not my issue (I’ve exceeded the retraction period, which I completely understand)

I’m saying that the integration is terrible.
They claim to have a great interface, but it’s EXTREMELY limited. The slightest operation requires going back to the insurer’s horrible portal.

My question is:
which provider offers a truly modern and complete interface?

You’re talking about the Spirica portal (Linxea Spirit)?

I find it quite decent, the UX could be improved but it’s functional and you can do what you need to do online, it works for me.

Since it wasn’t specified, I couldn’t know…
Having experience with Generali, Lucya, Yomoni, … I still find that Linxea and the insurer Spirica are above the rest, but I’m not too picky when it comes to life insurance or retirement savings plans.

Hello mmm,

I find you harsh. The Spirica interface is probably not the most beautiful, but you can manage your account online without having to contact an advisor. Then you also have to consider the fees, the choice of investment options…

I also recently subscribed to this insurance and I’m happy with it.

The Spirica portal is top-notch!

A comment as useless as it is incorrect!

wow! Thanks for that argument…

I clearly disagree, particularly for the mobile version of the site.

  • home page: it takes almost 2 pages to display the balance, the +/- value and the date. The rest is just huge buttons that take up all the space for nothing.
  • once the contract is selected it’s even worse, it takes almost 5 screens to view the 3 lines of my life insurance.
    and I’ll add to that:
  • no app
  • any change goes through the insurer’s site and not through their interface.
  • where it’s even more laughable is that when you click on operations, for example « arbitrage » we’re told « redirection to the insurer’s space », but for example for « free and scheduled payment » we have another submenu with 4 choices. You might expect some of them to be handled in the linxea interface, but no! they ALL redirect to the insurer portal.
I don’t know what you call a modern and complete interface, but for me we’re far from it.

Just to support my remarks, at bourso:

  • there’s an app
  • I have 15 accounts (between current account, joint account, savings accounts, credit, PEA, …) summarized in 2 pages
  • for life insurance: everything fits on a single screen
  • I do my purchases/sales/arbitrage, modifications of scheduled payments via the bourso interface

For me bourso is clearly above, visually and technically.
In short, I understand that it’s not a problem for everyone.

Considering these criteria, would you have any providers to recommend?

Well personally, I don’t care about Linxea’s interface, like many others only the Spirica insurer site interests me.

The information there is updated within 24 hours, all procedures are accessible digitally, each operation whatever it may be is perfectly detailed with value date, exact number of units to a precision of several decimal places.

I’ve never seen any site with so much precision, it’s the only contract I can track perfectly on Portfolio Performance because it’s the only one for which I really have all the data. All the other sites I know, we’re stuck with approximations, with fees expressed in euros when that’s completely pointless since only the number of units matters etc.

The design, the 2 clicks to access it via the Linxea app, really remain a minor detail for me.

I doubt you’ll find what you’re looking for if you’re that critical with Spirica which in terms of tracking and transparency remains a model in my opinion.

Hello mmm,

OK, I understand your comments better now. I don’t use my mobile to check my life insurance.

I have both (Linxea and Bourso) and it’s true that Bourso is prettier. But honestly, if I took out life insurance with Linxea in addition to Bourso, it’s because of the low fees and the choice of funds.

Changing life insurance just because you don’t like the interface seems quite excessive to me. Especially since it’s a long-term investment. There will inevitably be a time when the interface evolves.

Perhaps look into Lucia CNP (0.3% fees and a wide choice of funds).

To be honest, you really can’t be demanding with Lucya

Some operations are paper-only, the contract is impossible to track, with no documentation whatsoever, without knowing when you deposit or switch to a fund, the valuation date used, the value used, the number of units, or even the number of units purchased fluctuates over a 2-day period without explanation. Same for fees, no details. You have to have absolute trust…

It’s quite a shame because I think the contract isn’t bad, the essentials are there with low fees, but Lucya makes no effort.

OK so Lucya is forgotten.

Lucya catastrophic!! Absolutely terrible interface, nothing works on the interface.

Ok there will always be the argument that fees are low, but honestly it’s dearly paid at that price given how terrible it is.

Linxea or Placement Direct are really much cleaner for a range of fees that are all in all quite close to Lucya CNP or Lucya Cardif.

So for my part, I’ve been exposed to Suravenir, Spirica, CNP, Caisse d’Épargne, and Macif Vie.

Suravenir is very limited but therefore simpler. Spirica packed with options that can confuse beginners. Macif Vie, user-friendly but very opaque, Caisse d’Épargne and Nuances contracts practical to use, well done, but funds that siphon off any gains.

Generally speaking, I agree with you, it’s not simple or intuitive. I think you’re on Sylvea Spirica? Actually it’s a bit annoying but good, you have all the documents, menus for deposits and withdrawals.

On the other hand, it’s a bit technical if you don’t know the terms yet. You’ll spend 15 minutes per transaction no matter what.

Unfortunately the insurers won’t change, they’ve been like this for 10 years  and even 10 years ago some didn’t even have web access. They don’t make much effort for beginners that’s for sure.

On my personal account I have Suravenir where there’s nothing and just 3 options, that suits me very well

hello, I agree with you, the insurer, Généraliste in my case, has a poor website, and linxea doesn’t help matters!

It’s always been like this for life insurance. Paperwork to fill out to make a full withdrawal. Objectively ugly interfaces. We mock the French administration with its endless procedures, but life insurance is the same thing.

We really wonder where the management fees that are deducted each year from the TOTAL amount of your capital have gone.

The brand new look of Linxea is not bad I think  The app could benefit from being modernized further to get closer to the user experience of a Ramify but that will surely come one day or another!

They are preparing a real mobile app
